無疑地，結婚這件事必然應該賦予意義，否則無法合理化這樣的行為。今年是跟我同齡年紀的同事們大出櫃的一年，因此也引發了自己許多聯想，雖然想更平心靜氣地來思索，不過最後還是餘波蕩漾。這是再正常也不過，難怪前天在喜宴上，聽到隔壁的同學及學長也是單身，心中反而有高興的情緒（暗爽），真是好惡劣呀！哈。
然而，我再同意也不過的是在這個網誌中，Allan 的開場白。
I was happily single. Had been for many years. Singledom means freedom of movement, association and life direction.
I have many friends. Many are in long term relationships, common law or married. Some of them seemed to have settled for the wrong reasons: cultural pressure, parental pressure, age, pregnancy, fear of being alone, sex, money, stability, instability, shotgun wedding, whatever.
I promised myself that I would rather die happily single than in a compromised, unhappy relationship.
I don’t believe in regular “dating” (or for that matter internet dating) as a good way to really get to know someone. The only true test of trust and longevity is spending time and having experiences together.
